When it comes to succession planning, Lamborghini’s Huracán set the gold standard. Following the Gallardo—a model that perfectly blended its Italian flair with German engineering prowess, following the Volkswagen Group’s acquisition—it became a supercar icon.
Its exceptional 5.2-liter V10 engine provided a sublime soundtrack to accompany its razor-sharp looks and refined handling, and most importantly rewrote Lamborghini’s record books for sales. The Huracán became a benchmark for the brand, making its successor’s task even more daunting.
Enter the new Temerario, the latest addition to Lamborghini’s storied lineup. While it sacrifices two cylinders compared to the naturally aspirated Huracán, its new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, paired with three electric motors, delivers over 900 horsepower and a top speed of 213 mph. This advanced powertrain not only offers incredible performance but also enhances practicality—an added bonus for this entry-level Lamborghini. The smaller engine frees up much-needed luggage space, making the Temerario more versatile without compromising its supercar essence. Together with the flagship Revuelto and the ever-popular Urus Super SUV, the Temerario completes Lamborghini’s electrified 2025 lineup, proving that the brand can embrace a high-tech future without losing its soul.
